Wholesale American Brand Name Products In China

Wholesale American products are in high demand in China. As the Chinese economy grows, the ranks of its middle class and upper class grow as well. These newly enriched consumers can now afford brand name designer products, and as the case is globally, they have a strong preference for American clothing, shoes, and electronics. Although many American products are manufactured in China, they are still of superior quality than to those that are made for the Chinese market. American companies demand a high level of quality and craftsmanship that is superior to the specifications of the domestic market. In addition, the demand for American brands is fueled by Hollywood movies which are now widely seen throughout the country. Brand owners require that their clothing is sealed in containers and shipped directly to the US, ensuring that the brand is not sold directly by the factory.

Chinese retailers who look to buy American brand name merchandise have two options. One option is to deal directly with the licensed representative of the designer. This will allow them to purchase current season products, in the style, color, and size specifications which they require. Even though this option is relatively expensive, it assures the shop owner that he will receive the exact merchandise that can sell well in his establishment. The second option consists of purchasing overstock, store returns, and remainders from closeout dealers. A closeout dealer can offer branded merchandise at a substantial savings to the published wholesale price, but cannot guarantee any specifications, since his product selection is based on the buying opportunities he comes across. Important factors that need to be considered are the details of the Chinese market, such as population characteristics that include size requirements and living conditions. For example, the typical living room of a home in China is smaller than its counterpart in the United States, so smaller televisions will sell better. Since the people are generally shorter in stature, smaller sizes are preferred. One important factor is that due to the geographic location of the country, its cities and provinces can differ greatly from each other in both cultural and social terms, so care must be taken to study each area as a market of its own. For instance, the fashions of Beijing, which is an urban market, differ greatly from the fashions of some of the coastal cities, where the average earnings are lower than in the capital, but still higher than those who live more inland. Because the manufacturing and exporter sector are major sources of capital creation, cities where these industries are located will have higher earning employees, who in turn will be able to more readily afford products from the United States.
